Every Monday will be Visual Journal Day for 5th-8th
grade. This will be a 9-week long
project – graded twice during the 9-weeks - at mid-term and the end.

Lesson Objective: To create an artwork using hues – selecting a medium to communicate an idea. Technology: none Assessment: checklist
Learning Activities: The teacher will introduce the visual journal assignment. The students will tape the checklist to their journals so they will have the requirements and dates. The students will write the definition for hue in their sketchbooks. Then they will draw an example of hue. To conclude they will choose and use a medium to finish this drawing.
