Every Monday will be Visual Journal Day for 5th-8th grade. This will be a 9-week long project –
graded twice during the 9-weeks - at mid-term and the end.

Lesson Objective: To create artworks using line, shape, and form – selecting a medium to communicate an idea. Technology: none Assessment: checklist
Learning Activities: The teacher will introduce the visual journal assignment. The students will tape the checklist to their journals so they will have the requirements and dates. The students will write the definition for line, shape, and form in their sketchbooks. Then they will draw an example of each. To conclude they will choose and use a different medium to finish each drawing.
